Food and Drink

Sandbar Cafe

Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are served in our Sand Bar and Café. Meals are a combination of vegetables from our on-sight organic garden as well as local farmer's markets. Our own chickens and eggs. Fresh fish is on the menu when we catch it (often). Meal inspirations and recipes come from the local Fijian village home as well as popular favorites across the globe.

On special occasions, the Maqai crew do a Lovo night (a meal cooked in an underground firepit) or a Big BBQ feast. We do all our baking in a Wood Fired Pizza Oven. Meals served directly to your front porch if desired. Special food options are available with advance notice. Bring your own alcohol or we'll get it for you at local's rates.

Sand Bar has plenty of room to relax under the big roof. with leather chairs, mahogany tables and a white sandy floor. There is a zone for planning your activities and adventures, an office for web surfing and book exchange and a little shop selling snacks and juice etc. You'll often hear laughter singing and guitars keeping alive the island atmosphere.
