Dock BasicsThe Dock is one of the most useful parts of Mac OS X but so many people refuse to use it properly! OK, so sometimes it does get in the way a bit, especially if you have a small screen and/or use a lot of Classic programs (whose windows tend to get partly stuck under the dock), but with a bit of re-arranging its possible to make things work really well. If you use a lot of Classic programs you're not really using Mac OS X! You really must convert to Mac OS X versions wherever possible. First read these basic instructions on using the dock which tells you a bit about what it does, how it works and how to change the contents.
