Moon

Project number: 304 (number in database).
Original project name: Moon.
Development type or programming language: Pascal.
Platform designed for/with: Burroughs.
Year of most recent major modification: 1980.

As far as I can remember this was my first successful program. It was written on punch-cards (yes, it really was) for a Burroughs B6700 mainframe computer. It was the classic moon lander program where the player has to enter a "burn" to safely land the lunar lander on the Moon. Because the batch jobs for students (as I was then) were only run once a day (overnight) I could only do one burn per day (on punch-cards remember) so the game took weeks to complete. Back then programmers was real programmers!

If you need any further information about this project please contact me.
