Music: Inside the Fire

This is a song about suicide and the unsanitised video for the song makes the story very obvious. I find that video very effective - they must have used a lot of fake blood - but my daughter, who loves the song, will only watch the version without the blood and suicide scene. I can see why. This video is disturbing (as it should be considering the subject) which makes sense considering the band's name.

I love everything about this song, its a great example of hard rock. The subject is difficult but I think they have handled it appropriately. Musically its also good. The guitar and drum work is brilliant and the vocals are delivered with real sincerity. This is the best hard rock song I have heard for many years, and I can't believe that my teenage daughter (who usually sticks to the more inane music typical of her age group) loves it too and it has lead her to appreciating hard rock better.
