Museum: Sinosauropteryx prima

The model of Sinosauropteryx prima was in the excellent "Real Chinese Dinosaurs" exhibition held at the Museum in mid 2003. Here's some information about this fierce looking little beast...

Pronounced: sine-oh-saw-OP-te-rix pree-ma
Diet: carnivore (lizards, insects, small mammals)
Era: Cretacious, 125 million years ago
Height: 0.5 meters
Features: primitive feathers covering most of the body
