Gunn Camp H Bomb

Deep in the middle of Fiordland in the Hollyford Valley is a small community called Gunn's Camp. Its really just a few huts, a small museum, and a few other buildings. It's an odd place and this photo shows one aspect of that oddness. The writing says "H Bomb. Property of the US government. Deactivated by the New Zealand prime minister". Presumably a political commentary on New Zealand's brave effort at refusing visits by US nuclear ships, etc.
