Jupiter, Venus, Mars.
Using 33cm Newtonian.
Started 1997-10-16 at 10.00 pm.
Observed Venus at altitude 15°, approx 50% illuminated.
Clear crescent but scintillation problem.
Mars poor image, too low at approx 12°.
Jupiter excellent sharp image, quite high in sky.
Equatorial belts distinct, smaller belts between equatorial and polar zones seen.
