Podcasts

Entry 167, on 2005-05-04 at 22:17:52 (Rating 1, Computers)

I try to stay up to date with the latest Internet trends and technologies. I work for a computing services center at a University, and I am the only one amongst all the presumably tech savvy staff here with a blog. In fact, many of my colleagues don't know what a blog is - but they are mainly PC users!

So the latest trend I need to get into is podcasting, of course. I have created my first podcast using a Griffin iTalk on my 3G iPod, and doing audio conversion and editing in a nice shareware program called Amadeus.

I've decided initially to convert some of my more interesting (maybe) blog entries into podcasts. I'm not really aiming at making anything thats genuinely useful, and I don't really care if no one even listens to them. The aim is really just to work through the process of podcasting. And of course, when someone asks "have you heard of podcasts?" I can say "Yes, I've been listening to them for months, and I even have my own!" That's what being an Internet-centric geek is really all about!

Anyway, if you want to have a look (just remember that there's only one there so far) try the link on this page.
