Transit

Entry 42, on 2004-06-08 at 21:04:21 (Rating 1, Travel)

We observed the transit of Venus today, from a place called The Devil's Marbles. We travelled about 300 kilometers north from Alice Springs to find the perfect location. The sky was perfectly clear and the temperature was about 35° (not bad for mid winter).

The transit was actually quite an interesting event to observe. Before this I thought it would probably be the historical aspect of the event that would be the most interesting, but at the time I found it was worth watching for the event itself.
