Unreal Tournament 2003

Unreal Tournament 2003

Unreal Tournament has what are probably the best graphics I have seen in any game on any platform (including XBox and PS2). The nVidia GeForce 4 graphics processor in my machine really produces stunning, high definition 3D scenes at impressive frames rates. Its possible to use high resolutions and still use high quality textures and other effects. The sound and gameplay are also pretty impressive, and the violence, weapons and flying body parts are just so over the top that its funny!

There's a reasonable amount of subtlety and tactics involed in playing this game well I suspect - but I'm not that great at it myself! The network play is good as long as you have a reasonable number of players. With two players, for example, you spend a lot of time just looking for the other person.

Scene from Unreal Tournament 2003

A scene from Unreal which unfortunately doesn't show the graphics very well because I had to photograph the screen with a digital camera. I hope you can get an idea of the scenery, lighting effects. etc from this.

In summary, this is a state-of-the-art first person shooter which really uses the modern 3D accelerators capabilities. The game play is good, the scenery is interesting and detailed, the weapons are awesome, and the graphics are great. Its highly recommended!
