Length of west suspension bridge: 9260 feet (2822.4 meters)
Vertical clearance of west bridge: 220 feet
Tower height: 526 feet
Length of east bridge: 10,176 feet
Vertical clearance of east bridge: 191 feet
Tunnel: 76 feet wide, 58 feet high, 1700 feet long
Lanes: two levels of five lanes each, 270,000 vehicles per day
Opened: November 12, 1936
Cost: $77 million
