The View Towards the Marlborough Sounds

Lines of hills stretch off into the distance in this view from the top of a hill just east of Nelson looking further east towards the Marlborough Sounds. This point is only accessible by taking a steep track in a four wheel drive but the view is incredible.

The way each line of hills becomes bluer and more faded enhances the depth and distance in this photo, which was taken with my Nikon Coolpix 885. The clean, natural blues and greens are typical of New Zealand scenery. The original was 3.3 million pixels and this version has about 200 thousand.
