Skippers Road 3

Luckily I didn't see another vehicle on the road the whole time I was there, because visibility around the corners isn't too good and there wouldn't be many places to get past anyway (although there is a "passing area" to the left of this photo). This is near the top - only a kilometer or two from where the Skippers Road starts from the access road to the Coronet Peak ski field.

This photo also captures the mood of remoteness well. The low cloud makes a big difference, the same scene in fine conditions would create a quite different feeling for the photo. Photography in adverse weather conditions can lead to interesting results.
