(Up to OJB's Emersons Page) Emersons APA Extra Hoppy American Pale ATasted: | 29 Nov 2004 | Name: | Emersons APA Extra Hoppy American Pale A (212) | Type: | Ale | Producer: | Emersons (250) | Region: | Dunedin | Rating: | good | Web Site: | http://www.emersons.co.nz | | This beer's colour was strong amber orange brown, and it had a moderate head. There was a crisp hop fruit aroma, and the flavour was very bitter hoppy with citrus grapefruit, and a light malt balance. This beer was intensely flavoured with quite good balance. It won a BrewNZ 2004 gold medal. |
Note 1 I am not really a beer expert (just an enthusiastic amateur), so please don't take my recommendations as anything more than a rough guide to these beers. I can take no responsibility if you buy a lot, on my recommendation, and then regret it! Note 2 You may not agree with my evaluation of these beers as a lot of this is quite subjective. I tend to put a lot of emphasis on freshness and intense characteristic flavours and bouquet, so if you disagree you might just have different priorities. ![[Up]](../XuShared/Up2B.jpeg)
