(Up to OJB's NZ Photos Page)

We sometimes travel along the Kaikoura Coast to get to Nelson (although we usually take the Lewis Pass which is a bit quicker) and have also taken the train along the coast once. It is a scenic and interesting route with bush growing down to the shore and where seals, seabirds, and sometimes even whales can be seen.

- Tussock and Mountains A Kaikoura beach with the mountains behind it.
- Rail Tunnel One of several rail tunnels the line passes through on the coast.
- Seddon Bridges The new and old Seddon bridges.
- Rangiora Station The Rangiora railway station has real character.
